Martin Luther led the bus boycott after Rosa Parks got arrested for not surrendering her seat to a white person. The group made Martin president of the bus boycott because he was young, talented and had a steady family. (History.com) They continued the boycott until changes were made. Blacks struggled for months of walking to work and to wherever they needed to go. The boycott did not demand laws, they demanded courtesy. A little after the boycott had been started 4 black churches were bombed, Martin's house had a bomb diffuse, and homes of the black
leaders of the boycott were bombed. (History.com) Police arrested 7 bombers and most of them were the members of the Ku Klux Klan. The arrests ended violence for the protest
